Aswan city shared in different festivals with its cultural productions.
Besides being a creative city in folk arts, Aswan has an important and worldly festival in which many countries of the world contribute. The most important and trendy festival is “The Miracle of the sun at Abu Simbel.” A festival has grown up around the ancient event. Twice each year; it celebrates not only the king Ramses II but also the Nubian culture. It has become a national event attracting performers and tourists. They spend the night celebrating in front of the temple until the sun strikes the statues in the sanctuary.
The second important festival is the International Symposium of Sculpturing, this is reviving pharoanic carving art on Aswan hard stones and artists participate from all over the world.
